Best Withdrawal Method for Pakistan

After receiving payments, you can either use them online or withdraw them to your local banking account. Now there are few options available for you to withdraw your money in every freelancing website. Talking about oDesk, they give us the following ways to withdraw our money,
  •          PayPal
  •          Moneybookers(Skrill)
  •          Payoneer Master Card
  •          Wire Transfer(USD)
  •          Wire Transfer(PKR)

Now the question is which one is best for us to withdraw money in Pakistan? Unfortunately PayPal isn’t available in Pakistan; otherwise PayPal is good for those who wish to use their money online for shopping purposes as payment via PayPal option is available in almost every online shopping website. Moneybookers which is now known as Skrill is a good option for those who want to withdraw their money to their local banking account in minimal withdrawal fees, but your money takes almost 7-10 days to reach your local banking account. Unfortunately Skrill don’t offer any means to keep track of our withdrawal. Talking about my own experience with Skrill, first payment took much longer time to reach my bank account almost 20 days. There are many rumors on net, that either Moneybookers (Skrill) payments never reach your bank account – it just stuck somewhere in between, or they deduct much more amount from the payment as mentioned in their withdrawal fees. Actually the solution to former problem is just to wait wait and wait, actually Skrill don’t have good customer support and they don’t help us much rectify the issues. Actually the later problem is that some intermediary bank deducts your payment for routing it, in short Moneybookers is not so much reliable for withdrawing money in Pakistan. Now Payoneer Debit card method is good for those who want their payments available immediately but the problem with this method is that their withdrawal fee is very high also activation fee is required which is almost $50.

At last but not least the wire transfer method, it’s the best method I have experienced. It gives both less withdrawal fees as well as minimal transaction time. Moreover oDesk wire transfer helps us keep track of our payments, even then if our payments don’t reach our bank accounts they got reverted back to our oDesk account. Wire Transfer are further divided into PKR and USD wire transfer. Now a days PKR wire transfer is closed for few days but hopefully it will be opened very soon, till then you can use USD wire transfer. For that you’ll need a foreign currency account which can be easily opened in any bank. In short, Wire Transfer is best method from all mentioned above. I am having a good experience with both PKR and USD wire transfers, so I ‘ll suggest you all to go for wire transfers.

Types of JOBS on oDesk

If you are a freelancer on oDesk then this article might be helpful for you. While applying to jobs on oDesk you must have noticed that jobs on oDesk are being categorized into hourly based and fixed price jobs. The main difference between the two is risk factor; payments for hourly-based jobs are guaranteed and vice versa. If you are newbie on oDesk just try to get your first job regardless of the job type because you‘ll narrow your chances of getting your first job if you become choosy. But if you have a good experience and worthy profile on oDesk then try to go for hourly-based jobs only because it promise you guaranteed payment. The oDesk let you track your working time through oDesk team software for Hourly-Based jobs only, and once time is being tracked via oDesk Team your payments will be guaranteed unless and until your employer creates a dispute report against you. Then oDesk will look into the matter and sentence the case against the cheater. All these dispute issues are very rare and if you aren’t cheating your client then don’t bother about it. Well talking about the fixed price jobs, payment after the completion of job is totally on client discretion. If client don’t like your work he can end your job without paying you, oDesk will not be responsible for all this. Sometimes, few clients cheat you and after getting their work done they don’t pay you for that. So its better not to send the final version of your work to the client, either place some watermark or make the file password protected till you got the payment.

Well, fortunately most of the clients pay you for your good work and very rarely cheats you. In my 4 year freelancing experience I got cheated by only 1 client so don’t worry much about it but be careful in high budget jobs to avoid any bad experience. We can check if the client is trust worthy or not by seeing the feedback score they have; oDesk gives chance to both contractors and employers to give feedback to each other. If the client cheats us we can give him bad feedback score and bad comments too. Also client will give us the feedback score after the completion of job and a good feedback is very necessary for worthy profile. If you have good profile you often got invitation for interviews and more jobs will be awarded to you.

Freelancing Startup - oDesk

Are you looking for a way to earn money while relaxing in home?  Are you tired of annoying bosses? Do you want to be your own boss? Now you can earn money by working anywhere anytime. You might have listened to these eye catching lines thousand times and you will find thousands of tutorials on internet about earning money online. All of these eye catching ads are just pointing towards freelancing. Most of us are unaware of this term or know just a little about it. In easy words you can say, it’s a self-employment.
One of my Facebook friends inspired me for freelancing and from that day I am doing it pretty well and earning a handsome amount of money. There’s no rocket science behind freelancing but at the same time we can’t say that it’s a piece of pie. In start you have to spend much time to make your worth in the global market of freelancers; once you are in then it will be much easier and less time taking. The key to success in every field of life is never to lose hope, so is the case with freelancing. You might get disheartened by initial failures but trust me just keep on trying and you’ll get succeeded for sure.

Talking about my own experience I started freelancing about 4 years ago on oDesk and got my first job after 40days at just $0.5/hour. Well I started that job just to have some worth in the market and with the passage of time jobs over $30/hour were awarded to me. Now I have a good profile on oDesk and got jobs much easily as compared to the start. My first job was about graphic designing, to design a logo for e-commerce Company. At that time, I was unaware of the professional software for Graphic designing (Adobe Creative Suite) and I designed the logo in one of the amateur template based logo designing software called AAA logo design. So at the time of delivering the design, client asked me to provide the design in different standard printing formats and editable master file of that design. At that point I realized if we want to be a good freelancer we must learn the professional software’s first then step in to this global freelancing market.
So guys it’s good to do freelancing part time as a secondary source of income and if you think you are good at it you can do it full time as well. Freelancing was not so common in Pakistan and still isn’t that much popular yet, only few Pakistanis are in this field and over 80 percent of these are students. So just step in this field without saying “WHY” just say “WHY NOT”.
